Turkey Bowl

It would not be Thanksgiving for Josh without the annual Turkey Bowl. This year marked the 16th annual tradition. The guys changed up the teams this year by placing the most experienced vs the least which ended up being the oldest vs the youngest. This change up did not prove successful as the least experienced (in orange below) won 32-20. Better luck next year!

Emily's B-Day Tailgate

Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting another great b-day bash for Emily. Josh and I look forward to this family tradition each year. Although the fire and kerosene heaters were appreciated, I think we need to move this tradition to a little earlier in the fall.

Football Season

It would not be the fall if Josh and I did not attend at least a few football games. We had the pleasure of going to Madison for Homecoming.

In addition we traveled to MSU with 24 of our great friends! Even the Canadians showed up! Yes, the hats are from our smurf costumes...:)

Ami & Eric's Wedding

Last weekend we had a blast celebrating Ami and Eric's wedding. It started off with Ami's Mehndi night on Thursday (where I got henna) then a traditional dance party on Friday with the ceremony and reception on Saturday. By Sunday I was exhausted, but we had so much fun enjoying their customs/culture. When the dance floor looks like below, you know it is a good time!!

3rd Anniversary @ Everest

I am very behind on our blogging and since I can't sleep this is a good time to catch up.

On Sept 27th we celebrated our 3rd anniversaryby continuing the tradition of dressing up and treating ourselves to a fancy dinner that we really can't afford...:) This year Josh surprised me by going to Everest. It is on the 40th floor of the Chicago Exchange with great views of the Sears Tower. I really hope we can keep this tradition going!

Family Day at Purdue

Josh and I had the pleasure of visiting Emily for Family Day last weekend at Purdue. I joined the rest of the sorority girls in the breakfast club theme of loofas while Josh was a bar of soap.

Ann & Brian's Wedding

Josh and I LOVE weddings! Especially when many of our good friends are the guests.

US Open 2008

We are little behind in our blogging, but I wanted to capture a shot of Arthur Ashe Stadium. Josh and I had the pleasure of traveling to NYC with Jen Kedinger to attend the US Open over Labor Day Weekend. WE ended up spending 27 hours there, so I would say that we really enjoyed it. We were able to watch Nadal, Federer, Roddick, Djuckovic, L. Davenport, Williams Sisters and many more....

Kitchen Remodel

After 2 years, we made the leap and finally are remodeling our kitchen. Thanks Dad for helping with the demolition! Hopefully the cabinets will look good in the garage. Here are some pics of the process...

Goodbye Emily

Well, we just had our first taste of parenting as we had to send Emily back to college. It was a tearful goodbye (or at least for Josh and I) as it has been our best summer yet in Chicago! I am so thankful to have had this opportunity since the last time we lived together she was 12...:)
